Fika E-mail
ImageHave you ever tried Swedish food? Fika, situated on the urban Brick Lane, is the perfect place to do that!

First, let's begin with the meaning of fika... Of course like many swedish words, it doesn't have a simple one word meaning. It means the time period that you have a break from the daily routine with some company and while eating and drinking something...

fika, the swedish
Fika, Brick Lane
The place is a nice Scandinavian decorated place and has a lovely atmosphere, not to mention the mouthwatering food. You can start with some delicious herrings and continue with steak or salmon on the plank (served with a great sauce and a tasty home made pressed potato) or Reindeer sausage. The prices are considerable. And as a desert try some waffles, if you are not on a diet...

Fika is at the Bethnal Green Road end of Brick Lane.

Important note: They do not accept cards, so make sure to have some cash before going to Fika, if not you have to pay a service charge to the nearby ATMs of Costcutter, etc...
