James Smith & Sons is London's oldest umbrella shop founded in 1830 and is still family run in New Oxford Street.
The shop does not only sells umbrellas but also seat sticks, walking sticks and great gifts made from horn. It may be a better idea to purchase a gift from this shop then buying a lousy t-shirt... Apart from being the leading umbrella company for 170 years and the first name in sticks and canes, the shop is a legend in itself. It is a perfect example of Victorian shop front design and has remained virtually unaltered in 140 years.
